Job Purpose:

The Officer, Employee Relations & Compensation & Benefits supports the delivery of employee relations services, compensation and benefits administration, and HR operations activities. The role ensures accurate processing of HR transactions, supports employee engagement, and maintains compliance with policies and labor regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Support handling employee inquiries, requests, and workplace concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in resolving employee relations cases in line with HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee cases, documentation, and HR transactions.
  • Support payroll inputs, including allowances, overtime, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits such as insurance, leave, and entitlements.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee data in HR systems to support accurate payroll processing and reporting.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Support updates to HR policies and employee communications as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including documentation and system updates.
  • Support exit processes, including final settlements and clearance procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Payroll) and external providers (insurance companies, vendors) to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Support the preparation of HR reports and basic analytics related to Employee Relations (ER) and Compensation & Benefits (C&B) activities.

    Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee relations, HR operations, or compensation & benefits.
  • Basic understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and payroll processes.
  • Experience with HR systems and employee data management is preferred.
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications
  • HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or similar are considered an advantage.
