Arab Monetary Fund (AMF (and Financial Stability Institute jointly organize the Thirteenth Annual High-level Meeting for the Arab Region: Global Banking Standards and Regulatory and Supervisory Priorities
The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) and Financial Stability Institute are jointly organizing on December 13-14, 2017 the 13th Annual High-level Meeting on Banking Supervision and Financial Stability in the Arab Region. The meeting will bring together high-level government authorities, including senior representatives from Central Banks, regional and international organisations, Standards-setting bodies and private sector practitioners. The meeting will be attended by H.E. Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori, Governor of Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, HE Dr Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel, Governor of Central Bank of Kuwait, HE Dr Abdulrahman Al-Hamidy, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund and Mr Fernando Restoy, Chairman, Financial Stability Institute (FSI), Bank for International Settlements.
Under the overarching theme of “Global Banking Standards and Regulatory and Supervisory Priorities for the Arab region” the meeting aims to discuss Banking supervisory priorities and challenges for financial stability in the Arab region, as well as many related relevant topics and issues, such as financial technology and cyber-risk regulation as well as current issues in financial market infrastructure, resilience, recovery and resolvability of Central Counterparties.
